Sam Curran has become the youngest player in IPL to take a hat-trick. Curran, 20 years 302 days old, achieved this feat against DC on Monday at Mohali. His final bowling figures were 4/11. Curran also opened the batting for Punjab and scored 20 runs off 10 balls.

Sam Curran’s hat-trick victims were Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, and Sandeep Lamichanne.

Sam Curran was bought by Kings XI for 7.20 crore in this year’s auction. He was playing his second match of the season.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma was the youngest player to take a hat-trick. He took a hat-trick for his former team Deccan Chargers against Mumbai Indians. He was 22 years and 6 days old then.

Sanju Samson smashes first 100 of IPL 2019

Sanju Samson has scored first century of IPL 2019. He scored 102 off 55 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. His second IPL century came in 54 balls against SRH.

His first century came against Rising Pune Supergiants where he incidentally also scored 102 runs. He was playing for Delhi daredevils back then.

The 24 year old batsmen helped RR post a massive total of 192 on board, but Rajasthan couldn’t defend the total as SRH won the match by 5 wickets.

Virat Kohli completes 5000 IPL runs

Virat Kohli on Thursday completed his 5000 IPL runs and has become the only batsmen after Suresh Raina to do so. Kohli is the fastest batsmen to reach 5000 runs, achieving it in 157 innings whereas Suresh Raina took 173 innings.

Kohli completed this feat batting against MI where he scored 46 off 32 balls.

Kohli is also the only batsmen to score 5000 runs for a team in IPL. Kohli has been a part of RCB since its first edition.

The Most Expensive Player Of 2019

In the list of most expensive players in IPL 2019, Jaydev Unadkat and Varun Chakravarthy are the most expensive players of this year’s IPL each worth 8.4 crores.

Jaydev Unadkat was released by the Rajasthan Royals earlier but was again picked up by them. They had earlier bought him for a whopping 11.4 crores hoping that he would be able to replicate his 2017 season form, where he was the second highest wicket-taker of the season. He picked up 24 wickets in 12 matches with an economy rate of 7.02 in 2017. But he rather turned out to be a disappointment as he was nowhere close to his form and could only take 11 wickets in 15 matches at an abysmal economy rate of 9.65.

Varun Chakravarthy was picked up by Kings XI Punjab at the same price, he had performed very well in the TNPL and helped his team Siechem Madurai Panthers to clinch their maiden title. He bowled 240 balls, of which 125 were dots and picked up 9 wickets.
