Sam Curran has become the youngest player in IPL to take a hat-trick. Curran, 20 years 302 days old, achieved this feat against DC on Monday at Mohali. His final bowling figures were 4/11. Curran also opened the batting for Punjab and scored 20 runs off 10 balls.
Sam Curran’s hat-trick victims were Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, and Sandeep Lamichanne.
Sam Curran was bought by Kings XI for 7.20 crore in this year’s auction. He was playing his second match of the season.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma was the youngest player to take a hat-trick. He took a hat-trick for his former team Deccan Chargers against Mumbai Indians. He was 22 years and 6 days old then.
